For years the firm has been at the forefront of
professional liability defense litigation,
including: legal malpractice, medical
malpractice, accounting malpractice and the
defense of residential care facilities. We also
maintain an active practice representing the
interests of judges and attorneys in
professional disciplinary proceedings. The legal
malpractice cases we defend often arise from
sophisticated underlying matters such as patent,
pension plan, and commercial disputes. These practice areas are complemented by our commercial and corporate litigation experience, and service to clients in various commercial, financial and real estate matters. The firm’s insurance practice group also offers opinions on intricate coverage questions concerning commercial general liability, homeowners, auto, professional liability and other types of policies. Coverage opinions are provided for bodily injury, commercial and property losses.
The firm’s practice is not limited to trial
court litigation. The attorneys in our appellate
department have briefed and argued hundreds of
appeals in state and federal appellate courts.
They are often retained to brief and argue
appeals from cases handled by other law firms at
the trial court level.
